Lortie Construction inc. has been operating in the field of wood frame buildings since 1879, that is to say for more than four (4) generations.
The experience gained was refined through the creation of a factory where the components of the buildings are manufactured. This largely improves the quality as well as the speed in putting them together. While rendering transport easier, the process also contributes in a very effective way to a reduction of the costs and the time it takes to construct on the building sites.
The technique developed by the company makes it possible to carry out almost completely the external walls and the interior finishing of the buildings, which reduces advantageously the costs of the labour force on the building site and which consequently increases the speed in putting them together.
The constructions of Lortie Construction inc. are adapted to the rigorous climates and the international requirements. They observe the strict standards of the Canadian Building Code and are approved by the Société canadienne d'hypothèque et de logement (S.C.H.L. - Canadian Company of Mortgage and Housing) as well as by the Centre canadien de matériaux de construction (C.C.M.C. - Canadian Building Material Centre).

Since 1976, thousands of companies have been accredited with the guarantee of new houses by the Association provinciale des constructeurs d'habitations du Québec inc. (APCHQ - Provincial Association of Quebec Housing Manufacturers) and have become members of it. Some of them have proved reliable to the APCHQ and the consumers. In 1985, the Association launched its certification programm Master constructor APCHQ in order to really recognize the companies which are characterized, year after year, by the excellence of their service.
